Following the announcement that Avengers: Infinity War will release a week earlier than advertised, Disney has begun to feed fans juicy tidbits about their upcoming blockbuster. The latest of these reveals is a new photo showcasing the forces amassing against the mighty Thanos. The Winter Soldier, Captain America, Black Widow, and King T’Challa are all gathered before a Wakandan army, with Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the other Avengers notably absent. Check out the full photo below.

Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers have been out of the picture since the events of Captain America: Civil War. Now, with the Mad Titan Thanos bearing down upon Earth with alien legions at his command, the two super soldiers take up arms against this new threat. Bucky’s role in Infinity War remains a mystery, as do those of his fellow Avengers.

Avengers: Infinity War will bring together nearly every surviving hero in the MCU, including the Guardians of the Galaxy. Quick side note: This will mark the first time the Guardians have appeared in a movie not directed by James Gunn. New villains will also surface, including members of Thanos’s Black Order.

Infinity War co-director Joe Russo went on record to talk up the film, saying, “Every story that Marvel has told since Iron Man 1 finds a narrative thread in these next two Avengers movies. It is a culmination of all that storytelling.” The wrap-up to Marvel’s Phase Three will span both Infinity War and Avengers 4, and the Russos have promised quite a finale for the current team of heroes.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters next month. According to Comicbook.com, It is rumored to be Marvel’s longest film yet.

The untitled Avengers 4 is scheduled for release in May 2019.
