Santa Clarita Diet has been renewed for a third season. The popular horror-comedy series stars Timothy Olyphant  (Justified) and Drew Barrymore ( E.T.), with guest appearances by Maggie Lawson (Psych, Family Rules) and Joel McHale (Community, The Soup). According to ComingSoon.net, the show’s third season will hit Netflix in 2019.

The Hammonds were once a normal Californian family. When Sheila Hammond (Barrymore) transforms into a flesh-eating zombie, new problems arise to test the family’s love and loyalty. Her husband, Joel (Olyphant) and daughter, Abby (Liv Hewson) try their best to be supportive but living with a ravenous zombie presents its own challenges.

The first season of Santa Clarita Diet premiered on February 3, 2017, receiving positive reviews from fans and critics and earning a Certified Fresh rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. The second season premiered on March 23, 2018 and currently sits at an 82 % on the review aggregate website.

Victor Fresco serves as showrunner and executive producer. Series stars Barrymore and Olyphant also function as his co-executive producers.
