AMC has collaborated with Next Games to bring The Walking Dead: Our World to iOS and Android today. Very much like last year’s uber-popular mobile sensation, Pokémon GO, this new free-to-play undead-centric augmented reality experience is a casual battle-’em-up with a peppering of collect-a-thon mechanics to keep players coming back for more.

At its core, The Walking Dead: Our World tasks players with battling hordes of the living dead with tap-based action gameplay, and even features heroes from the beloved TV series, such as Michonne, Rick and Daryl. The game cleverly uses AR technology and Google maps to craft a unique experience on mobile devices.

For those wondering, players will be able to play the game in solo mode, as well as complete weekly missions alongside their friends, like rescuing survivors and bringing them to safe-houses, for example. There’s also the option of playing the game wherever and whenever you want with newly designed “couch play” options.

In other The Walking Dead-related news, the impending exit of lynchpin actor Andrew Lincoln has been a pretty shocking revelation for fans of the TV show. Also, for fans of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead, a release date and brand new trailer recently shambled its way online for the third and final season of the video game spin-off series.

The Walking Dead: Our World is out now and available as a free-to-play download. If you want to learn more about the game, you can check out its official website here.
