The very first trailer for Netflix’s brand new Dark Crystal prequel series has just been released — you can go ahead and check it out below.

Featuring the innovative puppeteering magic of The Jim Henson Company, who created the original film back in 1982, this new prequel series will take place many years before the events of the fantasy adventure pic.

Comprising of 10 episodes, each around an hour long, the story will follow three young elf-like creatures known as Gelfling as they “inspire a rebellion against the cruel Emperor when they discover a horrifying secret.”

In the spirit of the Henson’s OG classic, the prequel series will use the same characteristic puppetry designs of yesteryear, while blending in some cutting-edge visual effects, too.

The voice cast includes Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Glass), who are confirmed to play the three Gelfling heroes. Other voice actors who are confirmed to star are as follows: Harvey Fierstein, Mark Hamill, Ralph Ineson, Jason Isaacs, Keegan-Michael Key, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Simon Pegg, Andy Samberg, Caitriona Balfe, Helena Bonham Carter, Harris Dickinson, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, Theo James, Toby Jones, Shazad Latif, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong, Alicia Vikander, and Donna Kimball.

Meanwhile, the show is being directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Grimsby).

The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance makes its Netflix debut on August 30.
