If you’re one of the last seven people in the free world who have yet to play Overwatch, here comes your chance; a free weekend has just started tonight to celebrate the second anniversary of the multiplayer FPS.

Starting at 7pm BST/2pm EST, new players on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 can try the game for the low cost of free. This is seen as a shrewd move by Blizzard Entertainment to get more players into the game. This trial period extends until Monday (the 29th of May).

As an added bonus for owners of Sony’s flagship console, you will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to take part in the free weekend, which means that players can get involved faster without any extra impediments or obstacles.

If gamers enjoy Overwatch and would like to continue playing, they have the option to purchase the game and keep the entirety of their progress, as well as any XP and upgrades earned during the trial weekend, which comes as a sizeable sweetener to those who might be on the fence.

Overwatch has been a runaway success to date for Blizzard, with over 35 million players according to the developers who are also famous for their juggernaut World of Warcraft franchise.  The game launched on the 24th of May, 2016, and according to Polygon, has already scooped at least one billion dollars in revenue.
