Soon, the dank, dismal comfort Patty’s Pub will be found from the comfort of your mobile phone. Yes, FX has announced a new mobile game based on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Aptly titled “The Gang Goes Mobile,” the game means you’re no longer a mere witness to the social depravity of Dennis, Mac, Charlie, Dee, and Frank, but you can now control it. As the gang sets to embark on one of Frank’s get-rich-quick schemes, you’ll have to scrape the bottom of your own jaded soul if you want to get ahead. I mean, I assume.
While I’m just irresponsibly speculating, I’d also like to see garbage bags full of chimichangas, at least one days-long dance-off, and bonus points for eating the sticker off a piece of fruit. And let’s just say if it doesn’t incorporate “Nightman” in some meaningful way I’ll be very upset.
Luckily, thanks to some early concept art, deciphering Charlie’s illiterate notes might factor in. If this is the case, then they clearly know what they’re doing.
The game’s release is set to coincide with the premiere of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s upcoming 13th season, which drops on September 5th on FXX.
