With Disney+ launching later this year, Marvel’s post-Endgame plans are beginning to take shape and attach creators to their respective productions. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Captain Marvel and Black Widow movie writer Jac Schaeffer will write for and oversee production on the upcoming Vision and Scarlet Witch series. Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will most likely return for the show, which does not currently have a release date.
First appearing on the big screen in 2015’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Vision and Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) have, either together or separately, since taken on Ultron, Crossbones, their fellow Avengers, Thanos’s Black Order, and the Mad Titan himself. In the comics, Scarlet Witch debuted in X-Men #4 while Vision made his grand entrance in The Avengers #57.
After Thanos turns back the clock so he could rip the Mind Stone from Vision’s head and enact the final bit of his plan, Scarlet Witch, despite her best attempts to beat back the despot, disintegrates. Oh, snap.
Schaeffer will reportedly help decide what happens after these two inevitably return in Avengers: Endgame, hitting theaters on April 26.
