Bad news, Rashida Jones fans. Deadline brings word that TBS has canceled the Jones-led Angie Tribeca after four seasons. The series premiered in January 2016 and enjoyed a 25-hour marathon that pulled in 1.17 million viewers. The second season premiere saw a dip in ratings but not in quality; popular review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes gave both the second and third seasons scores of 100%. Before that, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic gave the first season averages of 89% and 78%, respectively. The fourth and final season wrapped filming in December.
Jones starred as Angie Tribeca, a detective constantly busy contending with wacky colleagues and absurd crimes. Other main cast members included Jere Burns, Hayes MacArthur, Deon Cole, and Andree Vermeulen.
Steve and Nancy Carell executive produced the series while Ira Ungerleider functioned as both executive producer and showrunner.
