While Toy Story 4 readies for its release this Friday, 21st June, it may come as a surprise to hear that Disney already has two spinoffs in the works for Woody and Buzz Lightyear’s loveable ragtag gang.
Both of these new series will allegedly debut on its proprietary streaming service — Disney+ — with one focusing on a new character featured prominently in Toy Story 4, whose affectionately named: Forky. The show’s current working title is Forky Asks A Question and will comprise of ten short films following the titular Forky, an anthropomorphised fork made up of pipe cleaners and googly eyes. Cute, huh?
That won’t be all though, as Bo Peep will also be making a return in her own short, dubbed Lamp Life. Despite the fact her character was sidelined in Toy Story 3, Bo Peep will apparently feature in more of a central role in Disney and Pixar’s upcoming fourth instalment.
As we wait patiently for Toy Story 4‘s release, take comfort in the fact that the movie continues to rack up some seriously rave reviews: it currently sits at a staggering 100% critical ratings Rotten Tomatoes score. Whoa!
