One of the biggest announcements to come out from Blizzcon 2019 was the official confirmation that Blizzard is currently at work on a fourth installment in the venerable action-RPG franchise. That’s right, after years of leaks and rumours, Diablo 4 has finally been formally announced. Hell, yeah!

Topping off the much anticipated announcement was a cinematic and gameplay trailer (which you can go ahead and check out below) as well as a playable demo for all those lucky folks on the show floor at the Blizzcon 2019 event.

As you can see, the moment-to-moment action gameplay is looking really slick and super polished. Plus, it’s also great to see the action-RPG series returning to the darker and grittier feel of the earlier entries in the uber-popular franchise.

Diablo 4 is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. However, much like what happened with Diablo 3, it’s very likely that this will be a cross-gen title between PS4/PS5 and XB1/XB Scarlett. In addition, no official release date was given, but a late 2020 window seems like a feasible timeframe for the game’s launch.
