Rejoice, Rick and Morty fans. Keeping with their tried-and-true April Fool’s Day strategy, the folks at Adult Swim have just revealed that new episodes of the popular show will drop on May 3, 2020.

Following its abrupt halt midway through its 10-episode run, the show’s fourth season left us wondering when we’d be reunited with Rick, Morty, Summer, and the wildly strange multiverse they inhabit. Now that there’s a concrete date set, we can finally start getting excited. Check out the trailer, titled The Other Five, above.

Rick and Morty was co-created by Community‘s Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland of Gravity Falls and Adventure Time fame. The two creative powerhouses imbue their universe with a nihilism that’s as funny as it is sporadically offputting, proving itself to be a key ingredient in the program’s highly effective formula. The series premiered in December 2013 and has enjoyed success no one saw coming. In 2015, Roiland won a BTVA voice acting award for lending his talent to one of the show’s main characters, the obscenely intelligent, shamelessly irresponsible Rick Sanchez.

How ’bout that, eh? Let us know what you think of the trailer above in the comments section below! Oh, and if you’re looking for a new small-screen fixation, check out Roiland’s new animated series, Solar Opposites, when it hits Hulu on May 7.
